Local Anesthesia

For minimally invasive procedures and certain non-surgical treatments, local anesthesia may be all that's required. Local anesthesia involves numbing a specific area of your face using a topical cream or injectable anesthetic. This option allows you to remain fully awake and alert during the procedure while eliminating any discomfort in the targeted area. Local anesthesia is ideal for treatments like minor mole removals, injectable fillers, and some laser therapies. Dr. Guy's gentle approach and meticulous technique ensure that even with local anesthesia, your experience is as comfortable as possible.

Oral Sedation Anesthesia

For patients undergoing more extensive procedures or those who may feel anxious, we offer oral sedation anesthesia. This involves taking an oral medication to help you relax while remaining semi-conscious. Local Anesthesia is still used to minimize any chance of feeling any pain during the surgery. You'll be drowsy and may even drift off to sleep, but you'll still be able to respond to verbal cues. Oral sedation anesthesia is commonly used for surgeries like facelifts, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), neck lifts, and otoplasty. Oral sedation does not have many of the side effects, such as nausea and vomiting, that can occur with general anesthesia.

General Anesthesia

In cases where a deeper level of unconsciousness is necessary, general anesthesia is available. Under general anesthesia, you'll be fully asleep and unaware of the procedure as it happens. This option is typically reserved for rhinoplasty but can be used for any surgery if the patient would like that option. We work with board-certified anesthesiologists to administer and monitor general anesthesia, adhering to the highest standards of medical safety. Dr. Guy works closely with the anesthesia team to ensure a seamless experience from start to finish.

No Anesthesia Option

For some non-invasive treatments, anesthesia may not be necessary at all. Procedures like certain laser treatments, microneedling, and skincare therapies can often be performed without any anesthetic. Our education-first approach means that we'll discuss all aspects of your treatment beforehand, including whether anesthesia is recommended or optional. Dr. Guy is attentive to your comfort and will make adjustments as needed to ensure you have a positive experience.
